Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 - There is a new system of alcohol licensing being introduced in Scotland.

The change to this new system begins on 1st February 2008. Between then and 1st September 2009, all existing licence holders will have to convert to the new types of licence under the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005. This period is called the "transition period". You will need to complete an application, an operating plan, layout plans and supplementary information sheet for the new form of premises licence. You will also need to identify a premises manager who must hold a personal licence and hold an accredited qualification under the new Act.

Information on how to apply for a Premises Licence, including an application form and an operating plan can be downloaded. The Board are also happy to accept the Scottish Government forms which can be Downloaded
